Case Study #2

Singleton Diggers is one of our larger clients who routinely utilise Social Digital Signage (SDS) to promote various goings-on around the club as well as limited-time specials offered in their restaurant, Marble & Vine.

A Facebook Post using a photo of the Blackboard Specials is the typical method used to advertise something like this, but it only reaches a fraction of the club’s potential audience. What about the many members and visitors that don’t use Facebook, don’t follow the club on Facebook, or simply may not see the post appear in their feed?

SDS helps to maximise exposure of content that would normally only be seen by a handful of people on Facebook, to people across multiple mediums: those that are in the club itself, those that are visiting the club’s website, and those that are browsing the web.

Here we see a post that was published by the client advertising some blackboard specials that are only available for a very limited amount of time, including the important #wp tag at the end of the caption.

Due to limited time that these specials were available for, the client needed a way to quickly and effortlessly telegraph this across ALL of their channels – this is what SDS is perfect for.

TV CHANNELS:

SDS picks up the #wp tag included in the caption of the post and creates a simple TV graphic by combining the photo used in the Facebook Post and a simple title that focuses on the key aspects of the post:

SDS creates this TV post and begins cycling it through the in-house feed at Singleton Diggers within minutes of the Facebook Post being published. The best part is, there is no clean-up required – the TV ad is automatically removed when the bistro specials have finished.

WEBSITE:

SDS also channels the content from the initial Facebook Post onto the Singleton Diggers website as an individual post, creating fresh content under the Latest News section on the Home Page for any visitors to see.

Clicking on this post takes the visitor to the full website post, which is similar to a blog post, with a short title and body text that is taken from the original content published on Facebook.

GOOGLE SEARCH:

SDS doesn’t stop working there. The posts created at the club’s website, which have their own URL, continue to create fresh touch points with google over time – the body text of these posts adds to a ‘network’ of topics that can appear after a Google search, making it more and more likely for the club to be discovered at the top of the search result.

In this example, we can see how Singleton Diggers was able to QUICKLY translate something as simple as a Facebook Post (a quick photo + a few words + #wp tag) into a multi-channel announcement that requires no effort from the club’s staff beyond publishing the original post. The Marble & Vine specials are not only seen by the club’s Facebook followers, but also by patrons spending time in the club itself and those that are visiting the club’s website or searching the web.

One simple action = a big result!
